Essential criteria: Unrestricted AHPRA registration; accreditation or certifications in skin cancer management (SCCA or equivalent), vocationally registered general practitioner or equivalent; Australian Citizenship or permanent resident status.

Desirable criteria:  Certification or training in aesthetic medicine (ACCSM, ASAM, or equivalent), MMed(Skin Cancer)  / MScDerm / Australian Institute of Dermatology Membership/Advanced Membership/Fellowship (or equivalent)

• Modern, well-equipped clinic with surgical suite, dedicated non-surgical treatment room, total body photography system with digital dermoscopy and DermoGraphix AI decision support, dermatology patient management system (Xestro) including integrated mole mapping capability, photodynamic therapy with dermal therapist support, cosmetic nurses to assist with aesthetic treatment plans.
• Cosmetic treatment modalities including microneedling, LED phototherapy, Tixel®, Transcend BBR, Profhilo, Rejuran, and standard injectables including hyaluronic acid fillers.
• Daniel is keen to provide further mentoring and hands-on training to help you progress on your skin cancer, clinical dermatology, and cosmetic treatments journey. We have two Fellows of the Australian Institute of Dermatology and Skin Cancer Institute onsite for advice, teaching, and clinical support.

Key requirements:

• Certified dermal therapist (i.e. Bachelor of Health Sciences (Aesthetics), Graduate Diploma of Dermal Science or equivalent)
• One-two years experience as dermal therapist would be ideal (new grads are welcome to apply as we will provide training)
• Great communication and consultation skills
• Ability to work in flexible team environment

Helpful attributes:

• experience in skin needling and light therapy.
• experience working with broad-band light (BBR/IPL) machines
• experience with promoting cosmeceuticals within a clinic setting

ABOUT THE ROLE

The dermal therapist will be part of the cosmetic team including the following specific areas:

• Performing client skin assessments using our scientific skin assessment tools.
• Engaging with clients to find solutions for their skin goals, including developing cosmetic treatment plans.
• Perform skin treatments using microneedling device for collagen induction therapy.
• Perform medical and cosmetic treatments using phototherapy device for phototherapy and photodynamic therapy (medical treatment of skin cancers and skin conditions under direction of doctor).
• Perform broad-band light and IPL treatments for specific skin conditions.
• Perform skin rejuvenation treatments using our state-of-the-art Tixel ® machine.
• Ambassador and knowledge guru for our selected natural and cosmetic skin ranges guiding clients to reach their skin goals.
• Physician assistant during some surgical procedures, and medical photography (Canfield IntelliStudio total body photography).
• Providing aftercare and answering any client questions or concerns following skin therapies.
• Support reception team in helping clients when required.
