Abbey recently completed her advanced studies in cosmetic nursing, achieving the Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables from the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science. Her training included all aspects of injectable neurotoxins and dermal fillers, as well as advanced laser and IPL therapies.

Abbey completed her nursing studies through CQU  in Brisbane and continues to work at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital while pursuing her passion for cosmetic nursing.

She is excited to welcome new patients and help the “love the skin they’re in”, and has specific interest in wrinkle treatments with anti-wrinkle medications and dermal restoration fillers.

Trudi has over 10 years experience in the skin treatment industry and has extensive training and experience in all aspects of skin therapies. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Dermal Sciences degree, the most advanced qualification in dermal therapy. She previously completed a Diploma of Beauty Therapy followed by a Graduate Diploma in Dermal Science.

Her passion is definitely with advanced skin treatments and matching patients to appropriate cosmeceuticals. She enjoys doing skin analysis and developing treatment plans for clients to see visible results and maintenance of skin.

She is an expert with collagen induction therapy using microneedling and fractional radiofrequency, chemical peels including AHA, BHA peels modified jessner peel, LED light blue and yellow treating acne, healing rejuvenation and collagen stimulation, microdermobrasion and hydrodermabrasion, and laser treatments for hair removal and vascular lesion removal.

She has worked with a number of industry leaders in the cosmetic industry prior to joining the team at DermaSurg Skin Clinic in early 2022.

Sabine assists Dr Bothma with complicated surgeries every Tuesday when taking break from her “real career” as a community care physiotherapist.
